MorComm Press

Located in Soulsbyville east of the God Rush town of Sonora, MorComm Press publishes and distributes rock climbing guidebooks that describe the boulder problems, top-ropes and lead climbs in:

  • Castle Rock State Park
  • Sanborn-Skyline County Park
  • Mid-Peninsula Regional Open Space District Preserves
  • Lee Vining Canyon / Tioga Pass Road in the Sierra East Side

Rock Climbing Guide to the Castle Rock Area (2007) builds on its three predecessors, a Rock Climber's Guide To Skyline Boulevard (2000), a Sport Climber's Gude to Skyline Boulevard (1995), and the ground-breaking Sport Climber's Guide to the Castle Rock Area (1992). It has expanded its range and also includes a section on the little local sandstone and serpentine crags scattered throughout the Silicon Valley and along US 280 in Redwood City.

In 2016, we expanded our range to the High Sierra with the publication of a Climber's Guide to Ellery Lake Bowl, which was followed this year by a greatly enlarged 2nd edition covering the Lee Vining Canyon and Tioga Pass Road areas.
